Fill out the form

The form

Who should fill it out?

Every company with an Innovator Pass. One form per company, filled out by the person attending.

What do I need to have ready?

Your logo, a one-line description of what you do, who buys it, and your traction. If you apply to pitch, you also need your deck as a PDF.

What if I miss the deadline?

Submit the form anyway. Forms received by Monday, October 19 at noon ET are guaranteed a place in the Deal Book and matchmaking. After that, we’ll do our best to include you, but we can’t guarantee it.

Can I change my answers after I submit?

Yes. Submit the form again and we’ll use your latest answers.

Does it cost anything?

No. The Deal Book listing, matchmaking and pitch applications are included with your Innovator Pass.

Your Ambassador

What is an Ambassador?

Every innovator is assigned a Source Canada Ambassador, your point of contact to help you before and during the event.

What can my Ambassador help with?

Before the event: questions about the form, your Deal Book listing, your meeting times and pitch rooms. On the day: finding your meetings and pitch slot, and anything else you need.

How will I know who my Ambassador is?

Your Ambassador will introduce themselves by email before the event.

The Deal Book

What is the Deal Book?

A guide to the innovators at Source Canada, sent to every attendee before the event: corporate and government buyers, investors and other startups.

What goes in it?

Only your answers from the Deal Book section of the form: your company details, one-liner, who buys from you and what you want from a buyer. Funding stage and raising status appear only if you fill them in.

1:1 meetings

How are meetings arranged?

You tell us which kinds of buyers you want to meet. We put a short list of matching companies in front of each buyer and investor, and they pick who they want to meet. We then book the time and tell you.

Am I guaranteed a meeting?

No. Buyers and investors choose their meetings, and we do our best to put you in front of the right people.

Who sees my matchmaking answers?

Only the buyers and investors we match you with. Your traction and readiness answers are not in the Deal Book, and your mobile number is never shared.

When will I know my meetings?

Before the event. Make sure the form tells us when you can’t meet, for example if you’re speaking or pitching.

Pitch rooms

What are the pitch rooms?

Two afternoon sessions: pitch to investors at 1:15 and demo to buyers at 3:10. Each pitch is 4 minutes, followed by 3 minutes of questions.

How do I apply?

Answer “Yes” to pitching at the end of the form and upload your deck (PDF, 10 slides maximum).

Who picks the pitching companies?

Source Canada, our advisors, and selected buyers and investors review the applications. We’ll tell you whether you’ve been selected before the event.
