Canada builds
world-class technology.
We should buy it.

Source Canada exists to help corporate and government buyers confidently procure high-quality Canadian technology.

Context

Canadian technology startups are building world-class products that compete globally.

Yet unlike other countries, Canadian buyers rarely procure domestically resulting in a home court disadvantage.

This isn’t a new problem. But it’s a critical problem.

Mission

[ Why Source Canada exists ]

Source Canada exists to remove the obstacles to adopting Canadian technology in Canada.

There are practical problems like reducing search costs and opening doors. We also need to fix a cultural bias that suggests foreign solutions are better than domestic ones.

Initiatives

Actions speak
louder than words.

[ Events ]

Source Canada’s signature event happens annually in the fall. Each event has a different theme but one unchanging focus: to accelerate procurement of Canadian technology. Beyond events we work tirelessly to connect buyers and sellers.

[ Action-Oriented Advocacy ]

We work directly with company founders, corporate leaders and government decision makers to understand procurement barriers and work to eliminate them.

[ Publishing & Insight ]

Through our newsletter, articles and research we aim to keep the focus on why Canadian buyers lag behind other countries when it comes to domestic procurement.
